Bright Season is the solo-project-turned-band created by 21-year-old Southern California native Wes Langdon. Originally just a couple tracks to test out of the project was worth keeping (it was the first time he had done anything beyond just drumming) and it was met with overwhelming positive response and continues to develop. Often compared to The Fray, Band of Horses, and Acceptance, Langdon has always made a point to write “real” music… Lyrics with substance and honesty, met with hard-hitting instrumentation with passion behind it. “I got so tired of these quote-unquote ‘hardcore’ bands polluting my generations current music scene with their meaningless lyrics, breakdowns and cheesy sampling.
I wanted to make something that would remind us of what we grew up on yet still be very current and push the envelope” says Langdon, who is currently in the process of putting out a new EP and music video for release next month, followed by a debut full length later next year. “Its all been gaining a lot of momentum lately. I’m still assembling a band to play this stuff live, it’s gonna be great, and I’m looking forward to everything that’s I’m store”.
