With the way the economy is more and more people have dreams of starting their own business and living the american dream on their own. What does it really take? Are you really built to be on your own? No restraints? No money coming in at a certain time guaranteed every 2 weeks? We see all the stories online about people who quit their job and end up having everything they want in life. What does it take for them to get there?

Learn Patience
Everything won’t happen when you want them. Bring your expectations down as far as when you think you are going to get to the next level.  Things takes time. If you go in with this mindset you will have already beat 40% of the battle you are going to need be on the right road to make it in your own business.

Be good with people
People will criticize everything you do even if you stayed on a regular job. Difference is when you working for yourself “sometimes” people are the reason your business will fail or succeed. You need to know how to handle complaints or endless amounts of questions that will come your way when you are working for yourself. Failure to do so will result in lost trust or people not taking you seriously with what you do.

Always get better
Creating anything from the ground up you never know when you might have to change things to stay up with the times. Just think if your job “now” would never have upgraded from a 1992 computer to the new Mac Book? Do you think your company would have progressed to where it is today? Now its all in your hands, no longer will get the slips letting you know about the changes on the job. You have to come up with the change to stay afloat.
