Today we are privileged to sit in the presence of pure elegance, and talk with the epitome of beauty. Some of you may be familiar with Crystle Stewart who was crowned Miss USA in 2008. Crystle has also been seen in Tyler Perry’s movie “Good Deeds”, and can now be seen on TBS, Friday nights, playing her role as “Leslie” on Tyler Perry’s new sitcom “For Better Or Worst”. Crystle is the proof that with hard work, consistency, and discipline your dreams can come true. From her Miss USA crowning all the way to being a star in film, she has not lost her humble spirit and common touch.
AT: Hello Crystle how are you doing?
CS: I am doing well. Thank you!
AT: We feel so favored here at AT Magazine to have you make time out of your schedule to speak with us. What we would like to know first is “WHO IS CRYSTLE STEWART?” so many people see these radiant woman who is gorgeous. Behind it all who is the WOMAN?
CS: I am a woman who is constantly in the pursuit of happiness, joy and an inner peace! I love being with my family and friends laughing, talking and most of all shopping. It is my goal in life to be a woman of integrity, trust and faith, all while wearing 6-inch heels!
AT: So you won Miss USA in 2008. Tell us about that moment when you heard your name being called. What was going through your head?
CS: Oh my Gosh! I did it. I had rehearsed the “win” in my room for months!!! But none of that came to my mind! All i could think was I did it. I immediately gave thanks to God because I depended on Him for this victory! I competed for my state preliminary, Miss Texas USA, five times before I actually won. But, I knew God had something in store for me. I trusted in his word and a scripture in the bible, “The race does not go to the swift, but the one that endures.” Winning Miss USA has catapulted my career. It was all in good timing.
