Nixon Nyce Knows what it means to never give up

When a rapper on the come-up is faced with a life-threatening health issue, what are the options? Boston’s Nixon Nyce is on the path to recovery, professionally and personally, and he has a new single entitled “No Pain” that’s a reflection of his positive spirit and will to not only live, but thrive. All of the proceeds from “No Pain” are earmarked to go to the MS Society. The song was inspired by a recent stay in the hospital and features an unsigned artist by the name of Lola.

A college graduate with a degree in Entertainment Management, Nixon Nyce is no stranger to the music business. Born Nixon Etienne on December 11th in Coney Island, New York and initially inspired by artists like Ma$e and Dr. Dre’s iconic album The Chronic, Nixon decided he wanted to be a rapper at a young age. Performing his first ever sold out show in 2003 to a crowd of 2,000 fans, Nixon Nyce was right at home. Since that time, Nixon has become one of  Boston’s next major players in hip-hop. He has toured around the Northeast and released a pair of mixtapes: I Can Only Be Me, a collaboration with G-Unit’s DJ Whoo Kid, and Sooner Than Later, hosted by Akon’s DJ/rapper/producer Benny Demus. His singles ‘I’m Nixon’ and ‘Alone Tonight’  have been featured on Boston radio stations as well as clubs around the world!

After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis just weeks after the release of Sooner Than Later, Nixon had to re-evaluate the direction of his career. Not one to give up, Nixon is still crafting the music he wants to and is taking care of business as usual. Known for having an ear for beats, Nyce chooses all of his production, records, and mixes all of his songs. His label Corporate Boy Music, founded in 2009, handles  marketing, management, and development.  “The Nixon Administration will handle it, we don’t depend on anyone” is the phrase Nixon lives by. Not shying away from trying new sounds in his music, Nixon Nyce creates music for your entertainment. “I can’t please everyone but if I can evoke an emotion out of you, I’ve done my job.”

Nixon recently released the visual to “No Pain” on his youtube channel garnering nearly 5,000 views within 4 days. He is currently working on his next single and visual with Corporate Boy Music artist Lil. VI entitled “Bad B*tches”. An ode to women, Nixon Nyce is sure to set the clubs ablaze!

While other artists cruise in the right lane with the rest of traffic, the lane Nixon Nyce has embraced is his very own, and he continues to live by the motto: Be Yourself.
