Nemesyzz Handling Business

Seldom do you find artist who are unique in everything they do. From the look to the style of they put everything together. This is exactly Nemesyzz has. Greetings my name is Nemesyzz. I am a rapper/producer/composer/mixing engineer. I run my own indie label Vinyl Cut music which includes label mates Furis & Ezekiel Azonwu. I am on a quest to make the hip hop genre fun again by using lyrical riddles and cinematic compositions to purposely screw with obtuse people. I am currently working on multiple projects including Jay-Z the what if album which is a black album remix produced entirely by me & inspired by Danger Mouse after listening to his Black album remix project the grey album. The what if album is pretty much Jay-Z partnering up with the Riddler, I’ll leave it at that. I am also working on my first ever major project titled the Plesantville EP produced by me and which will feature about 9-10 tracks with songs about everything out the norm including songs about rape becoming a trend, Musical cartoon shows , Anti-cars, Magic school bus journeys to islands that provide DIY dental cures etc…

There are songs about everything with trippy twist and metaphors lots of people won’t understand unless they pay attention. If everyone visits soundcloud.com/Nemesyzz you can hear the unmixed version of one of the singles titled the Gil Scott Heron apocalypse. The EP also features 3 very talented rappers from L.A. Their names are Furis of Vinyl Cut, Forrest Punk & Juan Bueno of Mutant academy. I am also working on another 6 tracks EP which is titled Fables after fall and this project is pretty much a no summer season allowed album. Every song on this EP I break down summer from my perspective. The first single which will be titled Brightless’Z will be dropping soon, that song is highly inspired by the movie I am legend. The only feature on this project comes from the very talented Ezekiel Azonwu, Hyrule fans will see why. This EP will drop before Plesantville because it leads into that EP.

There is one more major song titled free world featuring L.A poet Chris Justice who is also host along with Christopher Barahona of ill vibes radio at ottermedia.net Thursdays from 8pm-10pm. Free world is a song where we want the people to imagine what life would be like if everything was free, what if diseases cured themselves. It features an Erykah Badu sample which is in the process of being cleared. I would talk about the Mischief Makers project but that’s a little big surprise isn’t it Monkey King?? lol..I want to show how in sync music is with video games and cinema. It’s a powerful force and it creates a sound bigger than you think. Gotta thank 8-bit playground for always taking me back to my childhood and showing how important video game culture really is and how it can truly inspire in a different way. Visit 8-bitplayground.com to explore. 2012 I feel will be the musical schizophrenia era courtesy of my piss off America/Vevo sucks/school system sucks/don’t let society tell you when to grow up sound lol…good day.

What’s the first thing you would say to someone when they ask you to describe yourself as an artist?
First thing I would say is a quirky lazy activist meets CM Punk & the Riddler

How long have you been in the industry?
Hmm i’ve been in crafting music in the indie industry for 13 years

Do you have any projects out now?
Yep I sure do lol..I have two singles out now available on Itunes both produced and composed by me. One titled Anti-Swag Mountain and one titled love Avalanche. I also dropped a mixtape titled The MF DOOM Playbook 2.0 Mixtape over other published instrumentals go to soundcloud.com/nemesyzz to download all the tracks for it. Another single titled Slam the Lockers is also on its way to Itunes shortly.

What inspires your music?
Cinema, 70′s Soul, Punk Rock, orchestral arrangements, Trip-Hop, video Games, video game scores, CM Punk, thoughts about the downfall of America, Anime

Where are you from?
Im from Los Angeles Cali but I reside in PlesantVille lol.. it’s where music takes me when I zone out.

What artists in the industry inspire you the most today?
Hmm let’s see I would have to say Danger doom(MF DOOM & Danger Mouse), The gorillaz, Mac Miller, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Elzhi, Phonte, M.I.A, Lykke Li & Trent Reznor

Why is that?
Okay i’ll give reasons for each lol..Danger Doom because they released an album titled mouse and the mask and that project immediately took me back to my childhood and made me feel like a kid in a candy store musically and lyrically. The Gorillaz because I love that they have their own style musically and they never reveal themselves and I can relate to that cause my market scheme is to be one big enigma it’s risky but if they can do it so can I. Mac Miller because he is just having fun making good music . He is just being himself at all times. The Roots because I mean they do it all lol…there music is on another planet. Erykah Badu because she is the realest and her music is revolutionary in the most soulful & mellow way which is trippy and genius. Elzhi because dude is amazing, he revamped the Illmatic album and made it a classic all over again. Phonte because he is also amazing, lyrically he always inspires. M.I.A because she just takes you through the jungles with her music & hypes you up and makes you wanna start a riot. Lykke Li because her sound is very quiet dark/eerie/ dark cinema sounding. And Trent Reznor well I mean dude can manipulate sounds like no other. He can literally take a lead Synth and make it sound like a Vacuum cleaner sucking up another Vacuum cleaner in a rhythmic way lol…

What makes you different from other artists today?
What makes me different from most other artists today I think is that I actually like music. Not to say other artists don’t because there are many who truly love creating but if you do take this offensive then this is dedicated to you. One dimensional artists love the media but I hate everything about it because I feel media attention is only needed when artists need an avenue to overshadow crappy music.

Another thing that makes me different is that I am a rapper who doesn’t get inspired by the rap/hip hop genre anymore unless you really took me places with your sound. Shout outs to Jalen Gray/Renegade for taking me back to the golden era of hip hop with his production.

What do you want your future fans to know about you?
Greetings future fans all 10 of you lol..j/k. Well I am extremely humble and im a big kid and I will never grow up lol..I don’t like Kodak moments, I don’t like cameras, I don’t like making music videos(Unless there Animated or actors are acting out the scenes) and I am anti-Social for many reasons which I won’t get into. People always ask we’ll how are you going to get where you need to be well simple..By producing, recording music, writing & doing live shows duh lol…I appreciate my family, Vinyl Cut Music, the entire S.O.S & Mutant academy for understanding that. I want people to get back into feeling music and creating visuals in their heads based off of what they hear and stop confusing media
with music.
