Ladies, You can do better.

This is a quote from one of my favorite movies ‘Mean Girls’. No other girls will say something, but I will. I have been thinking about writing this Halloween piece for a little while now; I know it is still early but what the hey. I truly don’t understand why it is okay to wear lingerie with bunny or cat ears and have it be socially accepted on Halloween, yet a day earlier or later the same girl in the same outfit would get called a “whore”. I don’t believe there is a difference no matter what day it is, what you are wearing shouldn’t be socially accepted. Ladies there are ways to be sexy without having to be half naked and quite frankly, some people who try and think they are “hot” look horrible. Like rip my eyes out after I vomit, horrible.
Getting the costume that looks good on the model in the magazine doesn’t mean it will necessarily look good on you. Even if it does happen to look good on you, now you are leaving yourself open to ridicule and scrutiny for no reason. You dont have to dress a certain way to get attention and feel good about yourself yet alone do it on the one day a year where other low self-esteem females are doing the same thing. Lets try and changed this. Why not go out the box a little bit?
Top 4 Rules this Halloween:
1. If it doesn’t cover the backside don’t wear it. I Personally don’t like see crack normally yet alone on Halloween, I don’t even care if you are good looking by society’s standards.
2. If you wouldn’t wear it in front of your parents, don’t wear it. In front of my mother, I like to present myself in a respectful way regardless if I am about to head out or not.
3. If you think that another girl would look like a “whore” if they wore the same outfit, don’t wear it. If you wouldn’t want to see other people doing it I don’t believe you should do it either.
4. If the word “sexy” is in the title of the costume, don’t get it. Seriously… don’t.
This not an outfit. This is just a free viewing for perverts and scumbags.
Following these 4 simple rules can help you decide on a better costume this year. Try wearing something fun and innovative other than just following the crowd. This will help you stand out and feel better about yourself.
