It’s been a minute.. what have you been up to since the last time we spoke?
Since we last spoke, I had a daughter who will turn 2 years old in January, my son just turned 5 years old. My business, LaLanne Fitness CrossFit in San Francisco, is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds and I have been busy as ever modeling.
When are you coming to the east coast?
I am supposed to shoot in Miami this week! I’m dying to get out to New York soon, though. I think I left my heart out there during my last visit and has been calling my name.
Have you picked up any new hobbies?
Dancing has always been a passion of mine, lately I have made it a point to try new dance classes and different choreographers. I try to dance at least 5-6 days a week, in addition to CrossFitting.
Who is the lucky guy in your life?
If yes, how did you meet.. if no are you looking?
We met 10 years ago at Genova Deli in Oakland, CA. He worked as a trainer next to the deli and I worked as a Dental Hygienist down the street from the deli. We had seen each other in passing throughout the years, but never pursued anything. The week that my ex and I broke up, I happened to see the “hot trainer” during my lunch break As I walked passed him, he grabbed my hand and said, “I have seen you around and I think you’re beautiful. I just have to get to know you.” I was intrigued by his approach and the rest is history.
What kind of men are you into?
I am into men who are driven, but who know how to to take the time to take care of a lady. Money doesn’t impress me. I went on a first date once where the guy picked me up in a Ferrari and took me to Louis Vuitton. He told me to pick out anything I wanted. I picked out a wallet for HIM. I told him to keep his money and show me his heart instead. Needless to say, I rejected a second date.
Although it is nice to be wined and dined, I am more content with a long walk on the beach engaging in deep conversation and cuddling on the couch. If you want to impress me, show me who you are not what you have.
Whats new in your business life?
Business is great! I wish I had more downtime, it seems that I am never free, BUT I guess it is a good problem to have. We have new members joining LaLanne Fitness CrossFit daily, our coaches are phenomenal and the community of CrossFitters that we have is astounding. We are a tight knit family here.
What are your goals for 2016?
In 2016, I hope to travel more. My wanderlust is so real, I must feed my desire to travel. In early August, I went into the ER with a potentially fatal and rare blood clot. It made me realize how short life really is. I could have died right then and there, but God blessed me with the gift of life. Now I have to go out and live and there is no better way to live than to travel this beautiful Earth. Ask yourself this, when is the last time that you did something for the first time? That answer should be: EVERY DAMN DAY. Life is too short not to try new things, even if they scare the shit out of you. In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take, so ride this life until the wheels fall off!
