How did you start making music?
I actually started recording in my basement on a karaoke machine in 2001, I made a terrible mixtape and a friend of mine got it to a guy that owned a studio and was in a well-known group (OS7), who I later became very good friends with. I am currently on the record label 423 Music Group and under Split/Side Management.
Where are you from?
I am from Lafayette, Indiana. I moved to Frankfort, Indiana when I was around 7 I think, then to Kentucky when I was a teenager, and then Back to Indiana around 5 years ago.
Growing up who did you listen to?
All types of music, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, Run DMC, KRS-1, Tupac, Mos Def, Seven Mary Three, Korn, The Beatles, I like everything that has meaning, and sometimes music to just ride to that gets you pumped up or in a good mood.
What inspires your music?
Life. Everyday things, what I’ve been through, what I’m going through, what I see. So many artists want to talk about money, drugs, woman, etc just to sell records. For me it is a way to get things out, therapy.
What’s the biggest city you’ve been to?
There have been a lot, Maybe Atlanta, or St. Louis, Detriot. Im not really sure, but I’ve been blessed enough to get to travel many places over the years.
What’s your most favorite city to visit?
What city do you have on your list to go to before you die?
Maybe one around New York or California, I haven’t been able to go there yet.
Tell us the motivation behind your next release.
That would be Noegenesis, set to release June 15 of this year. My motivation is my life, my feelings about things, it is my most open album yet. I talk about a lot of things that I have kept to myself up until now, and I have picked some very great features also.
