A nice, bright ‘lemon zest’ will go well with a nice earth tone with it. This combination is great for the fall.
As my first article for Alwayz Therro, I wanted to take a moment to talk to all the ladies and gents about, what I feel is, my favorite season for fashion. This is the time of year that all of the warm colors come out of the closet that you wanted to wear during the earlier seasons. Most people couldn’t really pull off these colors earlier without some simple disputes or clashing; though many people without a keen eye wouldn’t be able to tell anyway but some people, however, take notice. This quick yet simple guild will help you in your pursuits to make some simple seasonal decisions that will have you looking better in no time. The first half is going to be for the ladies, so gentlemen sit back and wait for part 3 of this fall series.
Ladies, Keep it simple: One of the biggest things about the fall season is that things are changing. Leaves are changing colors and falling off trees, and that crisp breeze has been brought back in preparation for winter. One of the biggest mistakes that people make during this time is over accessorizing. Having a few is okay and is actually promoted, but ladies when you have 20 bracelets and 4 scarfs you are looking a little ridicules. Lets be real. I firmly believe in accessories, but there is a limit so ladies watch out for over doing it. A simple scarf will do just fine. Cut back on the accessories and show the world you don’t have anything to hide.
Colors this fall: Below is a link to the Fall of 2012 color fashion report from Pantone, a company that helps pick color choices for fashion and for home. This is the year of the “French roast”, “Honey Gold” and “Tangerine Tango”. I would also like to add “Lemon Zest”. This color used in the right setting can really make things pop. Along with warm earth tones, these colors will make any outfit pop. Other colors on the chart will help you this fall, so please use it as a guide.
A short ladies trench is a great addition to any outfit in the fall season.
Jackets and Coats: This is the time of year I personally take my coat out and flaunt it around. Ladies, you can do the same. This is the light jacket/ light coat season. Wearing one not only will keep you warm this fall, but it can also make a bold statement of who you are. Choosing the right coat may be hard for you, maybe even daunting but if you look up companies such as Dolce and Gabbana or Chanel you can figure out what would look good on you. If you are balling on a budget, well Macy’s got you covered.
Boots: During the autumn ladies feel more comfortable putting on boots in the chillier weather. Though there are so many selections of shoes out, most women jump right to UGGs. The UGG is a boot that some women swear by, but today I am letting you know that wearing UGG’s every day in the fall/winter is silly. There are other types of foot wear that can be worn such as Sueded Lace-Up Wedge Bootie which can be found in a variety of colors, even colors that match this season.
Quick tip: When picking a shoe, make sure it fits. A lot of people walk with the shoe a few steps in the store and that’s it, then go home only to find out the night of their hot date, their foot is slipping around in there.
