Shei Atkins we know you been doing your thing for awhile… so what you working on now?
Right now I’m about to release my new book “Get A Man. Keep A Man” within the next 2 months along with my new single to go with the book.
Is there an album coming soon?
I’ll be starting on a new R&B album soon.
How did you get the name Shei Atkins?
The late Ann Tillman who managed me along with Destiny’s Child called me Shei way back in 1995. So when I started on my first independent project in 2004, I stuck with the name.
What artist in the industry right now inspires you the most?
Mary J. I see a lot of myself in her as far as her authenticity, transparency and inspiration. I love her realness.
Are you single?
No I’m not single. I’ve been happily married for eight and a half years.
What did you look for when choosing a man?
I look for a man who follows God, has manners, is respectful, handsome, and success driven.
What do you want your fans and future fans to know about you?
I love God, I love people, I looove music and most of all I’m human and very down to earth.
