How did you start singing?
I’ve been singing since I could speak but when Britney Spears came out with her first album when I was about 5 I carried it everywhere. I would put on shows and sing for my dad and godfather all the time. From there I realized I really enjoyed the way it made me feel so I took it all the way through school.
Tell us what are you into besides singing?
Well I am very into a women’s support system I think it’s important for women to lean on each other considering what we deal with in this industry. We relentlessly fight against sexism and fight for equalism and it seams time and time again we come up short for no reason so I want to continue fighting with other women and girls that are passionate like I am because I’m so fed up with this by now it’s crazy.
How thick do you think the barriers for women in the entertainment and music industry are?
Too. Damn. Thick.
And for no reason. The fact that I have had to restart making my EP over 3 times because of men being assholes is so ridiculous. I’ve had a guy EDUCATE me for 2 hours how to sleep with guys to get what I want in the industry and ANOTHER guy stole my music because I wouldn’t sleep with hiM. It sucks because a lot of girls do sleep with the people they are doing business with and it’s fine if that’s what you’re feeling but it really fucks up my vibe when I’m trying to get work done because everyone expects me to lay down a track then sit on their face it’s just so disrespectful. I work my ass off and I should be respected for that without having to sacrifice my dignity.
Who is your favorite artist?
My favorite artist of all time is stuck between Celine dion and Toni Braxton. I love Celine’s power but my r&b soul drifts toward Toni’s tone which just reminds me of a purple velvet. But i change my current favorite artist all the time like last month it was Sabrina Claudio who’s a new act, and this month it’s Mansionz.
Did you grow up with a large family?
There’s 4 in my family but my relatives are SUPERRRR big. I’m the youngest of my first cousins on my dads side. All my cousins have kids so they always look out for me Because they know I’m usually up to no good haha. And on my moms side we are actually really close with all of her cousins and their kids Bc Italian family’s are super close no matter how big. We drink a shit ton of wine also hahahha
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I love to write. Whether it’s songs or poetry or just a stream of consciousness. I just love to create. I spend a lot of time at the dog park near my apartment so I actually get a lot of ideas there because it’s basically therapy.
Is it hard to go through a failure?
Of course. But what’s better is how you learn from it. Being an artist is hard because we constantly criticize ourselves to be better and we always have this gut feeling that the project or the song or the painting is incomplete. But is all a learning process which includes our failures which we will all have at some point.
What’s the biggest city you’ve been to?
New York City obviously since I live here haha
What’s your most favorite city to visit?
I actually reAlly adored Toronto I think it’s so amazing and there’s a ton of stuff to do. Canadians are so sweet and I felt like they were always saying sorry I had to tell my waitress like ” girl don’t apologize you’re so sweet” and she responded by apologizing. It was such a huge change from New York considering we never take anyone’s bullshit and we always have an attitude.
What city do you have on your list to go to before you die?
I would really love to go to Barcelona.
Do you like pets? Do you own any?
Wowowow I’m obsessed with animals. It’s actually my extended dream after I have my music career in check that I’m going to open an animal sanctuary in a Midwest state. I put my golden retriever down January of 2016 and I immediately had a difficult time adjusting. So I rescued a beautiful shepherd/hound/ boxer named Bruno and he’s legit a fucking angel.
What turns you on about a man?
When a guy has broad shoulders and can wear a pair of jeans , like can really fucking rock a pair of jeans it’s super sexy. But when a guy can be manly but still show his emotions I think that’s was emotionally attracts me. No one wants a complete meathead.
Tell us about your management company? Many models look forward to backing, but few land it.. How did you do it?
Well for modeling I really got lucky, Sauced NYC is an amazing modeling management company. They do things the more contemporary way. They never stay in the box and they never abide by the rules. I really connect with the management Bc we have the same mindset. We want to get creative work done at amazing quality with no bullshit.
