
Rumbles, whispers and buyout offers for Staples Inc…Oh, my!
According to word at the water cooler, on the market floor or swirling around the ‘net (depends on where you get your scoops), quite a few reserved equity corporations are considering a buyout proposal for Staples Inc. (SPLS).
Even Bain Capital, which facilitated the green light for the Framingham, Massachusetts grounded company over 26 years ago, is considering bids.
Sources are mumbling the earliest a concrete offer may perhaps arise would be at the close of the year. Reps for both Staples Inc. and Bain Capital declined comment at press time.
Let’s see if this potential transition for the office superstore will be easy!
