The A-List actress, Gwyneth Paltrow has been placed in the hot seat after going to twitter and dropping the “N” bomb on Jay-Z and Kanye West. Actually the actress only tweeted the name of the artist song, but the additive is what ruffled a few feathers. On Friday while on stage with Jay-Z and Kanye, Paltrow tweeted a picture along with: “Ni**as in paris for real @mrteiusnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh.” Many people took offense to the actress statement even though she did not spell out the entire word. Many who took offense to Paltrow using the derogatory term slammed her online. Amanda Seales called Paltrow’s comment “wreckless.” A post on popular African American blog site, Bossip.com, said “Gwyneth might be getting a little too comfortable around her black friends …” After taking a few blows Paltrow defended herself saying “Hold up. It’s the title of the song!”. Platinum producer and friend, The Dream came to her defense on twitter saying “WE GIVE THE WORD TOO MUCH POWER”. I think Gwyneth Paltrow was only having fun and not trying to offend anyone; However, if anyone was offended by the statement I do think she should make a public apology to anyone offended, but after that I wouldn’t speak anything else of it. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
