What’s the first thing you would say to someone when they ask you to describe yourself as a producer? 1st & foremost, I’d let anyone know a very important detail about me – I STRIVE to be DIFFERENT. Everything about my music & about who I am as a person revolves around me being unique, daring, & original. So with that in mind, I want to change the repetitiveness & the ever-so-lame radio play. Focusing on true music appreciation, real lyricism, & getting ya music out there to be sold/bought, & do it the RIGHT way, not the easy way.

How long have you been in the industry? I’ve been producing since my junior year in High School, but I wasn’t “put on” until a break came my way a few years ago. Word of mouth spreads fast, & before I knew it, I had many jobs, collabs, and features in a few states. Four years of serious grindin’ can do that for your love of music or anything.

What Inspires Your Music? Jesus & my mother’s love & strong determination for her son to be somebody in this music world drives & leads me every step of the way – period. & I made a promise to her before she left this world that I intend to keep. Then, life experiences comes first as inspiration when any music of mine is involved. I’ve been both blessed & fortunate to have either had or have certain people on my journey that kept my mind on not to give up. But even sometimes they’ll begin to 2nd guess you, your efforts & your chances. Strangely enough, I turn even their criticism & skepticism into even more inspiration. A great man once said 2 things, “I don’t look for what’s “HOT” & I don’t follow fads. I got my own path” & “O, I wanna say haters, go away, But I NEED you to stay to HELP me grow.” That stuck with me more than any1 could’ve imagined. Real talk. Where are you from? Born & raised in the heart of the H. Acres Homes/Joe Louis branded since I kicked out singing lol. What producers in the industry inspire you the most today? Of course the sensai Timbaland, then you have Swizz Beatz, the Justice League, Kane Beatz, the Runners, Houston native Bryan Michael Cox, the Corna Boyz, the Underdogs, the Knightwritaz, T-Pain, Best Kept Secret, 40, D10 & Boi-1da from Drake’s camp…. dis’ll take all day so I’ma just stop for the sake of time lol

Why is that? Timbo’s never had to imitate. Y? Bcuz he’s the orginality king. Swizzy jus keeps you head jerkin’ for days on end. All of the “THE” production teams came up in a real big way. B. Cox hasn’t made a track yet that I haven’t liked or wanted to work with him on. & as for Drake’s camp (40 in particular), these dudes came with a completely different punch & haymakered the way some of these “producers” tryna imitate now. Impactful enough to create a worldwide-known mixtape?! C’mon.

What makes you different from other producers today? I just believe in differentiating myself and my music, believing in what was instilled in me as a kid as opposed to believing in the almighty “dollar”. Too many people sell their musicianship, creativity, mindsets, and souls just to make a quick buck or to take the “easy way”. THAT list can’t even be made in an entire day. A message to all of them/you who think I maybe just hating – hard work does pay off, but guess what? SMART work pays off even better with less hardships & grievances. On top of that, I still get to keep who I am & always will be. So don’t offer me a “sweet deal”, because I’m about making my OWN deal & having it work for me. What’s their excuse?

What do you want your future fans to know about you? My future fans can expect me to always do one thing: the RIGHT thing. There are no shortcuts to get ahead in life, so the grinding, striving, pain, & gain will all come. Just as my current fans know about me, i’ll never let them down or disappoint them, because I’m not only doing this for me, but I represent them just as well every time I operate. No one said it was going to be easy, but a smart man will always have the better results. So let’s get it!
